About this project
The project is design to solve the sanitation problem in square of the rural community of Haparquilla which is important for the dynamic of the community. However, this square doesn’t have water supply or sanitation, because of that people still practice open defecation.
The project will solve the problem with an integrated sanitation that includes not only constructing a bathroom but treat the wastewater using artificial wetlands and reuse the treated wastewater to irrigate ornamental plants. The community waste will also reuse to improve the public spaces of the community.
Goals and Objectives
Goal: Provide water and sanitation service to recover the Haparquilla’s square
Specific Objectives: Elaborate the constructive project of the treatment system, Make the existing bathroom operative, Construction of an artificial wetland system for wastewater treatment, Guarantee the correct operation and maintenance of the treatment system, Reuse treated wastewater for irrigation of ornamental plants, Reuse of community waste, Promote environmental and sanitation education in the community
Expected result
250 families that are the total of the community of Haparquilla get access to safe sanitation management
